AFB16-Tha Kha Floating Market article

Half day - Saturday and Sunday from 07.30-13.00 hrs.

Thailand’s floating markets are unique, visually addictive, and viewed from any angle, a photographic challenge. Although Damnoen Saduak (above) is the largest and best known, many visitors wish to see others that are local, more traditional and less visited by tourists. This tour visits two locations both in Samut Songkhram Province: the Tha Kha floating market, and Bang Noi floating market. Both possess the same charm and wonderful formula of goods being sold or exchanged afloat, both are full of colour, noise and chatter, but they are different in character, feeling, and local personalities. The two markets operate on different days of the week according to the lunar calendar, but both are open on Saturdays and Sundays, which are the best days to visit.
