This is an evening tour with a difference, which will introduce you to some very unusual sights, and surely add some spice to your photo collection. As an interesting prelude, we explore the after-dark mysteries of Chinatown and visit the awe-inspiring Flower Market on foot to wonder at its incredible variety of blossoms and plants, before driving past the beautiful floodlit images of Wat Po and Phra Kaew, along the fortifications of Phra Arthit Road, and on to arrive at the famous “Khao San Road”
Over decades, this area has become a Mecca for budget travelers, and developed a culture and charisma of its own. It is surely unique, and something you are unlikely to experience elsewhere. So unique in fact, that local Thai people go to ogle the sights and sounds, and inevitably recommend their Thai friends to do the same. Set in a chaotic medley of street entertainers, artists, vendors of every kind, guest houses, shops and stalls, the backpacker world congregates here each evening in a festive, friendly and fascinating fellowship of kindred spirits, swapping stories, making friends, and talking long into the night. Your guide will first provide a brief orientation here, thereafter you are free to watch, wander and wonder, eat, drink or shop as you wish. This must be Thailand’s best people-watching tour - we cannot guarantee you will love it, but whatever, it will certainly provide you with an enduring after-dinner story to recount to your friends back home! The tour is suitable for all ages, as there are no girlie or Go-Go bars. Love it or hate it, you should not miss seeing it. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and don’t forget to charge your camera battery – you might use more flash photography than you expect!
