Half day - Every Morning

Lovers of history, Thai architecture and culture will love this tour. Although the Kingdom provides a feast of architectural gems in many aesthetically beautiful forms – palaces, monuments, temples plus many other imposing structures, a short holiday can only provide a glimpse of these treasures. Happily, thanks to one man who dedicated his life to creating this impressive 320-acre outdoor museum, visitors can admire a fascinating overview of fine Thai architecture and artisanship down through the centuries, all in one very beautiful place. The Ancient City presents a variety of original full sized buildings, some saved from demolition, down to exquisite scale reproductions of ancient structures, all presented in perfect, meticulous detail. There are 116 exhibits in all, each located against a natural backdrop of trees and flowering shrubs, the ensemble creating a masterpiece of creativity in the Thai countryside, an invaluable testament to the country’s rich culture, and a perfectly condensed overview for visitors interested in the heritage and history of the Kingdom.
