Hintok River Camp @ Hellfire Pass article

Kay Russell, Air New Zealand Napier
I was really looking forward to staying here and I was not disappointed by the luxury and comfort of the tents or the beauty of the natural surroundings. It was the perfect place to stay after 3 days in Bangkok and to rest after a full day of activities before we arrived.
I would recommend a 2 or 3 night stay so that clients can fully enjoy the leisure activities and all the nearby attractions on offer.

Awesome!  Good location, amazing rooms, great cocktails, lovely food, and friendly, helpful staff.  I can't really think of anything I would recommend that needs attention, but perhaps the sheep need their wool sheared!

Great deluxe permanent tents, air conditioned with gas fired outdoor showers that when using you can look up and see the trees nearly overhead.  It really feels like you are in the wilderness.  There is a beautiful refreshing fresh water spring which was lovely for cooling down after a hot day & you can sit in there and watch the long tail boats on the river go past.  Nice deck area attached to the front of the tent where one can sit back with a drink.  No T.V or radio to distract so a pack of cards was a good way to relax after dinner.

I enjoyed this place as not long after we had arrived I went for a walk along the country road and was able to get some photos of the houses and their flowering gardens.  In the morning I walked in the opposite direction and watched the local women weaving baskets which I found very interesting.  The tent accommodation was well zippered keeping out any uninvited bugs at bay during the night.  The dinner and breakfast was lovely and all in all our tented stay was a great experience with a difference.

This was a little different but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  The tents were well appointed and very spacious.

We then went to the Hintok River Camp at Hellfire Pass.  This was a beautiful place to stay.  We each had an air conditioned tent, with our own bathroom.  The tents were very nice and definitely not the normal camping style!  There was a beautiful fresh water pool that had stunning views overlooking the River Kwai.   Unfortunately we didn’t have much time to explore the activities that they offered, including trekking, visiting waterfalls and caves, however I would definitely recommend the Hintok River Camp to my clients.

What I experienced on this trip was more than words or pictures could ever explain, I value the knowledge and culture I brought back with me. Talking about Thailand to my clients, brings pure joy and total excitement, I wish everyone could have and gain what l have experienced.
