Day 01 Arrival Chiang Mai (D)
Arrive Chiang Mai Airport, you will be met and transferred by private vehicle with English-speaking guide to your hotel.
Afternoon City Orientation Tour
1330 You will travel by private vehicle with English-speaking guide to visit the city including some important attractions such as Wat Chedi Luang (AD 1411) where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined and Wat Phra Singh (AD 1345) where a 1,500-year-old Buddha image and fine carvings are to be found. Then travel by foot-pedal trishaw to the Chiang Mai City Arts & Culture Center (close on Monday). The old building of elegant architectural design was built in 1924 as the City Hall and stands on the site of a former royal hall. It is a museum that presents the history of Chiang Mai in a very interesting way. The prehistoric facts are presented with the help of multimedia.
1830 Evening enjoy traditional Kantoke dinner with folkloric dances. Drinks are not included.
2200 Return to the hotel.
Day 02 Chiang Mai (B)
0900 Morning tour includes visit to some hilltribes at Baan Tong Luang. People from five different hill tribes - White Karen, Lahu, Palong, Hmong and especially Padong or Long Necked Karen where the women wear several brass rings around their long, slender necks. Visitors will have an opportunity to see the culture and way of life of Hill Tribe People.
Afternoon tour to Cottage Industries such as silk weaving factory, umbrella making village, silver and gold ornaments, etc.
1700 Return to the hotel.
Day 03 Depart Chiang Mai (B)
Morning is free for shopping.
Then transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for your departure flight.
Note: Most restaurants in Chiang Mai offer excellent Thai, Western and northern cuisines at very reasonable prices. We would like you to sample the delicious food and have decided not to include them in the tour prices. Your local guide will be glad to recommend restaurants for you.
