Day 01 Arrival Chiang Mai (D)
Arrive Chiang Mai Airport, you will be met and transferred by private vehicle with English-speaking guide to your hotel.
Afternoon City Orientation Tour
1300 You will travel by private vehicle with English-speaking guide to visit the city including some important attractions such as Wat Chedi Luang (AD 1411) where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined and Wat Phra Singh (AD 1345) where a 1,500-year-old Buddha image and fine carvings are to be found. Then travel by foot-pedal trishaw to the Chiang Mai City Arts & Culture Center (close on Mondays). The old building of elegant architectural design was built in 1924 as the City Hall and stands on the site of a former royal hall. It is a museum that presents the history of Chiang Mai in a very interesting way. The prehistoric facts are presented with the help of multimedia.
Evening enjoy traditional Kantoke dinner with folkloric dances. Drinks are not included.
2200 Return to the hotel.
Day 02 Chiang Mai (B)
0900 Morning tour includes visit to some hill tribes at Baan Tong Luang. People from five different hill tribes - White Karen, Lahu, Palong, Hmong and especially Padong or Long Necked Karen where the women wear several brass rings around their long, slender necks. Visitors will have an opportunity to see the culture and way of life of Hill Tribe People.
Afternoon tour to Cottage Industries such as silk weaving factory, umbrella making village, silver and gold ornaments, etc.
1700 Return to the hotel.
Day 03 Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai (B)
0830 Depart Chiang Mai for Chiang Rai on the way stop is made at hot spring.
Arrive Chiang Rai and drive up to a mountaintop where a most sacred and elegant temple, Doi Tung, is located. Visit the splendid palace of the late Princess Mother (the King's mother) and the magnificent botanical garden botanical garden near the palace.
1700 Travel to Chiang Rai town and check in at your hotel.
Day 04 Depart Chiang Rai (B)
0830 Morning visit Chiang Saen with an old temple and the famous “Golden Triangle”. Visit Wat Pangao and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Mekong River, before visiting the fascinating exhibits at the excellent Opium Museum.
1230 Return to your hotel.
Transfer to Chiang Rai Airport for your departure flight or you may travel back to Chiang Mai.
Arrangements include:
1) Private airport transfers with English-speaking guide.
2) Sightseeing tours as specified by private vehicle with English-speaking guide.
3) Admission or entrance fee.
4) 2 nights in Chiang Mai and 1 night in Chiang Rai.
5) 3 breakfasts and 1 Kantoke dinner.
